Anybody try this series?

All of their constant marketing has finally gotten to me, so I will order it and give it the 90 days.

Keep us informed, Syklone.

I find myself watching that informercial over and over, when it comes on. Looks like a very tough, but rewarding workout.

I'm guessing you went to ISU? If so, what years were you there? I grew up around the Des Moines area, but am happy to be out of that hole...haha

I was at ISU from 89-94. Still have a lot of friends in and around the Des Moines area. WDM area isn't so bad, but I am glad to be in AZ.

Just checked out the P90x website. The program is $140 plus additional supplements.

I hope this system or whatever you call it gets you where you want to be physically. I suppose we all have different paths to achieving our health goals.

Unsolicited advice warning:
Three sets of dumb bells, a bike, and some running shoes might cost a little more, but at least you'll have a bike and some shoes to show for it.

The secret behind the P90X system is an advanced training technique called "Muscle Confusion,"
Since when has varying workouts been considered a "secret?"

Your advice is good. I have been exercising and trying to eat healthy for many years, but seem to stay pretty level. I coule use a regimented program to give a boost. I have been 6' 160-170 lbs. for 5 years, with body fat % in the mid teens. I would like 5-10 lbs of lean muscle and drop the body fat a little, but at 38 it seems like a little more effort than I am willing to give.

My thoughts were that this P90x program could get me over the hump, but the more I find out about it the less enthused I become.

Syklone, let me know how it goes. I have seen that a hundred times and those guys get ripped. If you can maybe make a journal about it or sometime of progress report that would be great. I am interested in checking it out myself.

Sorry to intrude, but I just started the program and wanted to share. Have been very impressed with the system thus far, just started my second week and I feel great. With that being said, it is a very time consuming work out, longest being about 93 minutes, which is tough to do in your home with limited space. I do think those folks on the commercials are rare cases (diet, exercise, etc.), but I have noticed a change in my energy level. I purchased the DVD's, the bands, and the chin up bar. The chin up bar is pretty slick, but hangs a little too low. I don't expect to turn out like the advertisement, but it is forcing me to change me lifestyle. Hope this helps.

Sorry for the slow response, but I haven't ordered it, yet. The more I find out the less I like it. If I order it I will update.
